Today we started off talking about an emergent curriculum... Then we had a great presentation given on The Feminist Theory. We looked at female artists Mary Cassatt (that does charming painting of motherhood/womanhood in everyday tasks) and Barbara Kruger (who does art in response to how society today portrays us). We ate home-made, from scratch cinnamon rolls with icing (that were FABULOUS) with fresh cold milk! mmmm....to help us remember that this theory focuses on the meaning behind the work (how much more 'meaningful' are home made, comfort foods?)
